Our research interests have been largely focused on the functional characterization of essential metabolic or therapeutically important proteins aiming to develop new drugs/therapeutics against pathogenic diseases such as Tuberculosis (TB). We use various biochemical as well as biophysical techniques to characterize the potential drug target proteins. The main emphasis of our lab is to determine the three-dimensional structure of the protein using X-ray crystallography or Cryo-EM to elucidate the molecular mechanism and use this structural information for Structure-Based Drug Designing (SBDD).
